Reliability Data Systems is a dynamic and exciting team within TELUS’ Technology Strategy group. The team is responsible for end-to-end life cycle management of critical business systems and source data delivery for element management, service provisioning, alarm monitoring, reporting and automation.
This team is responsible for the architecture, development and support of applications and infrastructure while being the experts of their systems' data, which is used to deliver further enablement like automation and AI. We also monitor alarms to enable internal TELUS users to manage customer service dependent systems and deliver source data that provides internal TELUS teams to make use of automation and evolved troubleshooting.
Our goal is the ensure the applications under our management are delivered to production state, are stable, reliable, flexible so they can promote revenue, meet our customers’ specific requirements and therefore grow client business within TELUS all while keeping pace with new, changing and emerging technologies.
Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together
You will work towards delivering applications, which support the management of our wireless and wireline core and customer access networks while provisioning and activating systems to simplify the customer fulfillment process, speeding up service delivery to them. You will be responsible for delivering solutions for new applications or maintain the existing ones. This person will also own the development cycle and provide backup operational support for in scope applications. They will work closely with project managers, vendors and internal clients. The architect will own the project cycle as a subject matter expert and provide business cases to fund projects related to new or existing systems. You will be heavily relied upon to provide architecture documents and high-level project plans. Budget management and key milestones will be your responsibility with the aid of the project manager.

- You are sought out for your knowledge and deep understanding of Linux/HP-UX/AIX, OSS systems and applications, Networking (DNS, LDAP Cisco Secure, RSA SecurID, ATM, VOIP), Firewalls, DNS, Syslog, SNMP, IPv4/IPv6 and Routing Protocols, Oracle databases and programming languages (python, JavaScript, Java, C#, C++)
- You are the go-to person when it comes to understanding project governance and change management
Qualifications
You're the missing piece of the puzzle
- 3 years’ experience with Systems and OSS that include Linux, HP-UX, AIX and networking
- Degree/ diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering
- Comfortable communicating technical and business information within diverse groups
- Experienced with end to end Project management including Financials

- PMP certification
- Experience working within the Telco industry
