TELUS Health is looking for a full-time Fitness & Wellness Consultant for the Mississauga, ON area.

The Fitness & Wellness Consultant will be responsible for teaching a variety of group exercise classes, monitoring the gym, and promoting health and wellness to the gym facility membership.
Here’s how
- Supervision of a corporate fitness and wellness facility when open
- Instructing and scheduling of fitness classes and monitoring participation
- Monitoring gym use to provide guidance and ensure safety of gym members
- Working with a team to provide fitness and wellness programming
- Overseeing equipment maintenance management, including recommendations for purchasing new and replacing existing equipment
- Reporting of monthly and/or quarterly usage stats
- Facilitate the completion of GAQ screening forms and waivers for new members and annually
- Ensure COVID19 public health measures/cleaning protocols are followed in the gym e.g. wearing of masks, hand sanitizing, wiping equipment, restrict numbers using the gym at one time
Qualifications
You're the missing piece of the puzzle
- Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness or Health promotion
- Current certifications in group fitness and CPR/First Aid/AED
- Personal Training certification is preferred
- Energetic, confident, reliable, positive, engaging with a passion for fitness and health
- Works well as part of a team
- High degree of self motivation and initiative
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills
- Strong computer skills with ability to adapt to and learn various software applications
- Experience in the corporate fitness & wellness field an asset
