B2B Systems Transformation’s mission is to make life easier for of Customers and for our team. We build and enhance the SaaS platforms that support our value chains and customer journeys - from Leads to Opportunities, from Contracts to Orders, from Fulfillment to Billing, all the way to Day 2 support – and that are used every day by thousands of TELUS team members nationally, across multiple functions.

 

Our team includes a passionate group of strategists, business consultants, capability owners, project managers, business analysts and change management experts. We work closely with partners across the organization, such as product managers, sales and back office teams on the business side and solution architects, scrum masters and software developers on the technology side.

 

What you’ll do:

 

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our B2B Systems Transformation – Program Management Office (PMO) to enable next-generation value chain systems in new and transformative ways. This role is centered around developing new ideas for systems and technology while analyzing and improving current processes. Together we will help champion and build positive relationships with our partners to effectively prioritize and execute business initiatives while working with stakeholders to define opportunities that optimize our processes and deliver favorable customer experiences.

 

Leveraging your stellar relationship-building and project management skills to partner with leaders and stakeholders across TELUS. You'll help steer planning and execution efforts to drive the most critical projects in support of our strategic roadmap. With the support of our leaders and sponsors, you will help amplify and accelerate key programs that will enable us to realize the transformation opportunity ahead of us.

You can expect to roll up your sleeves and work side by side with our leaders and your project team towards a shared goal. You can expect to collaborate and execute on a diverse set of deliverables – from amplifying commercial outcomes, to driving digital transformation to automation and efficiency initiatives.

 

  • Participating in early scope development and management; working with technical product owners and business partners to coordinate interlock and status updates across multiple business and delivery teams
  • Coordinating or attending steering meetings and provide updates, based on our Program Governance Framework
  • Leveraging your understanding of the business and project management best practices to manage resources, control scope, monitor funding and track schedules
  • Creating a project plan and collecting signoffs at different stages of the project lifecycle to support governance and risk mitigation

 

 

Qualifications

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, steering multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Structured, organized and efficient. Possesses an analytical orientation with high standards and work quality
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build business relationships 
  • Customer-centric approach – deliver service to our stakeholders and partners with respect and care
  • Systems knowledge
  • Odyssey (SalesForce.com); Netcraker; Amdocs Billing Platforms
  • Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile (SAFe), Project Development Lifecycle, DevOps
  • Marketing and Operations
  • Strong knowledge of operational applications, business products, and services
  • Ability to ensure that business impacts are accurately captured and agreed upon by operations within TELUS Business Solutions
  • Planning and readiness for service offer including: requirements definition, risk assessment/mitigation, stakeholder presentations, user interfaces/processes, documentation, testing, communication on basic and/or individual components of projects, post-launch stability, and ongoing evolution/transformation
  • Operational Efficiency and Excellence
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans
  • Processes and/or operational business readiness
  • Drive new business implementation and execution, lead process improvement initiatives, reduce unnecessary customer contacts, and enable agents to increase productivity and quality of customer interactions

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • University degree and/or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Project Management certification/courses
  • 7+ years of experience managing all phases of complex projects
  • Agile, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Kanban, and Scrum
