Role Overview:


We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our Replenishment Coordinators and ensure a streamlined supply chain that supports our business needs.

 

The Team Lead /Supply Planner will oversee the purchasing of device repair parts, accessories, and inventory refurbished devices. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating with suppliers, holding vendors accountable against metrics, and ensuring inventory levels meet demand. You will lead a team of coordinators, collaborate closely with operations, and ensure cost-effective ordering and inventory management while maintaining product quality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the purchasing team, set clear goals, and oversee day-to-day procurement operations
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, timely invoice review and approval
  • Sourcing & Procurement: Develop strategies to source and order phone parts, accessories, refurbished devices efficiently and Identify alternative parts and options
  • Inventory Control: Work with the warehouse and sales teams to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent shortages and overstock situations by accurately forecasting demand
  • Cost Optimization: Monitor and analyze purchasing trends to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate regular reports on purchasing activities, vendor performance, inventory levels, and cost savings. Use data analytics tools to improve procurement efficiency
  • Compliance: Ensure that all purchased products comply with relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with other departments such as Operations, Finance, and Sales to align purchasing activities with business needs

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in the cell phone or electronics industry
  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing cell phone parts, accessories, and refurbished devices
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience with vendor management
  • Proficient in purchasing software and inventory management systems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

Salary Range:  $54,000-$82,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  10%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
