The TELUS Health CSO Provides comprehensive security oversight for TELUS Health services and, more recently, TELUS Agriculture and Consumer Solutions, with particular emphasis on protecting Protected Health Information (PHI) and maintaining regulatory adherence.


TELUS Health's Chief Security Office is seeking an experienced PMO Delivery Manager to orchestrate our cutting-edge cybersecurity initiatives. In this pivotal role, you'll lead our Cybersecurity Program Management Office, safeguarding critical healthcare operations and patient privacy while enabling digital health innovation. You will spearhead the execution of complex cybersecurity programs across TELUS Health CSO, align security initiatives with organizational objectives and risk management strategies and orchestrate cybersecurity project integration at all levels, ensuring cohesive security investment and implementation.


In this role, you will lead TELUS Health's cybersecurity transformation, setting new benchmarks in healthcare security. Your leadership will be instrumental in:

What you'll do

 

Strategic PMO Leadership

  • Translate TELUS Health's cybersecurity vision into executable project portfolios and measurable deliverables
  • Establish and maintain PMO governance frameworks for cybersecurity initiatives
  • Lead portfolio management for multi-million dollar cybersecurity programs and investments


Financial Program Management

  • Drive comprehensive financial stewardship of security project portfolios, managing budgets and optimizing program ROI
  • Oversee capital and operational expenditure planning across cybersecurity project lifecycles
  • Oversee and assist in the development of detailed business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI projections for security investments
  • Implement robust budget tracking, forecasting, and variance reporting for security programs


Team Development & PMO Operations

  • Lead a high-caliber team of cybersecurity project management professionals, including full-time employees and external contractors
  • Uphold PMO standards, processes, and industry best practices for security project execution
  • Champion continuous improvement in project management frameworks and delivery outcomes


Portfolio & Resource Management

  • Optimize resource allocation and capacity planning across multiple concurrent security projects
  • Drive strategic portfolio planning and investment prioritization for security initiatives
  • Maintain project governance, risk management, and quality assurance frameworks
  • Track and report on program / project performance metrics, milestones, and financial KPIs


Process Excellence

  • Manage cost control measures and efficiency improvements while maintaining security effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain project management tools, templates, and reporting dashboards
  • Ensure alignment between security project outcomes and organizational strategic objectives

What you bring

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Project Management, or related field
  • 10+ years IT experience, with 7-10 years leading complex programs/projects
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise-level security initiatives
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices and emerging technologies
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive presentation skills
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar programs/portfolios
  • Strong financial acumen and business case development skills
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
  • Expertise in security metrics and performance measurement
  • Exceptional problem-solving, thriving in dynamic environments
  • Strong experience in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
  • Adept understanding of project financial management and cost control
  • PMP Certification required
  • Government of Canada Security Clearance

Salary Range:  $102,000-$154,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  20%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. Please note that the compensation shown in the job posting may be subject to change in 2025.
