TELUS is evolving, and the Penny Program leads our strategic transformation by retiring our copper network to drive organizational and community benefits. Our work spans three critical areas:

 

  • Enabling central office redevelopment for new real estate opportunities
  • Driving value and sustainability through copper network reclamation and monetization
  • Reducing legacy costs associated with dual network operations


Within our Customer Network and Planning (CNP) team, we're seeking a Senior Program Manager to drive our copper retirement strategy and transformation initiatives. This role will lead strategic planning and execution of our one network vision, working across multiple stakeholders to accelerate our Fibre journey.


As Senior Program Manager, you will:

 

  • Drive strategic transformation of TELUS's network infrastructure
  • Lead community-wide network modernization initiatives
  • Deliver measurable business value through cost optimization and efficiency gains

What you will do


Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive program strategies aligned with TELUS's transformation goals
  • Lead executive-level presentations and storytelling to communicate program impact and value
  • Drive data-informed decision-making across multiple workstreams

 

Program Management:

  • Orchestrate complex community transition programs from copper to fiber networks
  • Lead stakeholder alignment across multiple build and migration streams
  • Develop and track program KPIs and success metrics
  • Manage program risks and drive mitigation strategies

 

Transformation & Innovation:

  • Design and implement process improvements for community transitions
  • Lead strategic analysis for resource allocation and investment decisions
  • Drive change management initiatives across multiple business units

What you bring

  • 8+ years of program management experience in telecommunications or technology
  • Proven track record in strategic transformation initiatives
  • Excellence in executive communications and storytelling
  • Strong data analysis and visualization capabilities
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Expertise in creating and delivering executive-level presentations
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and visualization platforms
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities

 

Great-to-have

  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Advanced degree in business, technology, or related field
  • Experience with telecommunications infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of TELUS systems and processes
  • Proven experience in managing multi-million dollar programs



 

Salary Range:  $97,000-$145,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits such as:
