We are seeking a Senior Strategy Manager to join the Chief AI Office and operate at the intersection of logic, business value, and human-centric design. This is a high-visibility role for a relentless self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and refuses to wait for permission to drive outcomes.
You will not just "support" strategy; you will define and measure it. You will take complex, unstructured business problems, break them down with rigorous logic, and drive them from ideation to value realization. Crucially, you will ensure that every business case and AI initiative our team launches delivers tangible value—not just to the bottom line, but to the experiences of our customers and the well-being of our communities.
What you'll do
- Approach and analyze ambiguous, high-stakes challenges with a structured, hypothesis-driven mindset to ensure our AI roadmap solves real customer pain points, rather than just chasing technology trends
- Support the development of AI strategy and operations to ensure that our AI strategy accelerates our "Customers First" promise and drives our social purpose—whether that's using AI to reduce our carbon footprint, enabling safer digital communities, or making work easier for our Team Members
- Design and manage the Chief AI Office scorecard, defining KPIs that track financial ROI alongside Customer Experience (CX) improvements and Team Member engagement, and their reporting to stakeholders
- Develop robust business cases, model financial outcomes and forecast ROI, while explicitly quantifying the value delivered to our stakeholders
- Translate technical complexity and financial data into executive-level clarity. You will lead the storytelling for critical strategy and planning forums using high-impact presentations to stakeholders across the organization
- Collaborate effectively and nurture relationships with teams within the Chief AI Office and across other business units at TELUS
What you bring
- Structured Problem Solving: You possess a top-tier strategy skillset (logic trees, MECE frameworks, hypothesis-driven analysis) to derive answers through rigorous analysis
- Commercial Acumen: You can link strategy to the P&L. You can define outcomes, build financial models, and measure success through quantitative scorecards
- Executive Storytelling: You are an expert in top-down communication to produce concise executive summaries that directly prompt leadership decisions.
- Visual Presentation: You have a knack for creating "board-ready" slides that visually communicate complex data, scorecards, and strategy clearly and persuasively
- End-to-end Ownership: You have a track record of independently driving initiatives. You anticipate roadblocks, plan around them, and deliver results without constant oversight
- Passion for creating value: You have a genuine passion for creating value, understanding its multidimensional nature across financial, experiential, and social outcomes—for customers, colleagues, and communities
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in Management Consulting or a Corporate Strategy role within a large, complex organization
- University degree in Business, Engineering, or IT Management; an MBA or Masters is highly desirable
- An infectious positive attitude, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to build relationships that convert skeptics into partners
