As a Senior Business System Analyst, you will be at the front lines leading the development of an innovative platform that drives unparalleled visibility into the end to end customer experience. The expectation is to go above and beyond your role in working with like minded entrepreneurial driven colleagues in building solutions that enable a holistic view of each customer, elevate our processes and service offerings and lay the foundation for personalization. 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

 

  • Bachelors of Science with Specialization in Computing Science or
  • Bachelors of Engineering with Specialization in Software Engineering or
  • Diploma in Computing Science
  • Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in Software development and design
     

Required Work Experience

 

  • NIFI development
  • Proficiency in developing software in Oracle PL/SQL preferably with Oracle version 11G or higher
  • Working knowledge of Linux and/or Unix operating systems
  • Working knowledge of JAVA (primary), Python (secondary), PERL, JSON, and KAFKA
  • Proficiency in developing test plans, test scripts, and the analysis of test results
  • Experience in developing and implementing migration test plans
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders including other developers, database analysts, system architects, testers, business stakeholders, and management
  • Proficiency in developing technical design documentation
  • Experience working in all areas of an Agile software development life cycle
  • Experience working on operational tasks

  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently

 

Nice to Have Experience

 

  • Experience working with customer provisioning systems.
  • Working experience with JIRA.
  • Experience with development tools such as Git/GitHub and Ansible
  • Working experience with Tableau reporting.
  • Working experience with Control-M scheduling software.
  • Working experience with telephony network systems.
  • ITIL or other framework certifications.
  • Working knowledge of GCP and components.
  • Network build skills (preference for internal TELUS knowledge) 
  • General organizational and project management skills
