As Program Director, you will have wide-ranging accountability for managing the delivery of a number of key initiatives contributing to the enhancement of TELUS’ reliability initiatives. Reporting to the VP, Reliability Centre of Excellence, your role will require you to work closely with executives and stakeholder teams.  You will support initiatives within the Reliability Centre of Excellence, including regular program updates to the executive leadership team, reviewing and communicating our reliability risks, project prioritization and the tracking of progress and delivery of the program. You will also be responsible for managing the implementation of training and change management programs.
 
This role is housed within our team responsible for driving technology innovation at TELUS.  Our team is at the forefront of developing new and innovative technologies and services that will transform the way we deliver solutions to our customers based on the next generation of cloud-native technologies and applications. Our relentless focus on building reliability and resiliency into our operations, technologies and solutions provides the strong foundation required to deliver best-in-class solutions and provide our customers the fastest, most reliable access to the newest services.
 
Here’s how
 

  • Collaborate with program stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to establish and manage project plans and program objectives
  • Coordinate resources, activities, priorities and timelines across a range of program components, ensuring synergy internally and across multiple teams
  • Develop effective tracking and reporting of all program activities, including deliverables, timelines and budgets, and present to senior management and executives on a regular basis
  • Coach and mentor team members on latest project management, development and operations methodologies
  • Develop collaborative working relationships across the organization, while contributing to a positive and trusting work environment
     

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • You bring 10+ years of experience in project/program management, delivering multiple complex initiatives simultaneously from creation to implementation
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to use your technical and interpersonal abilities to connect with a variety of audiences on operational, incident and technology change initiatives
  • Familiarity with TELUS’ networks and operations support systems
  • Ability to forge strong partnerships throughout the organization and influence executives and teams without direct authority
  • Aptitude for managing conflicting priorities, issues, risks, dependencies and changes across multiple projects

  • Advanced experience and skills in project management methodologies, principles and practices
  • Ability to work effectively with various levels of management and cross functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and a drive to resolve outstanding issues
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field
  • Project Management certification
  • Understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies
  • Background in technology and/or consulting
