Our Customer Excellence & Field Solutions enablement team is seeking a visionary and analytical Data Scientist to architect and drive critical data initiatives. This role combines data science innovation, stakeholder leadership, and analytical excellence to define the future direction of our customer excellence and field operations strategy.
Impact You'll Make:
As a key data scientist on our Data and Analytics team, you'll architect and shape data initiatives that revolutionize how we support our customers and business operations, including AI integration strategies.
You'll have direct engagement with key stakeholders across TELUS, expanding your sphere of influence while delivering measurable business transformation through the ASPIRE program and operational efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Architecture & Innovation
- Design, analyze, and implement cost-driven strategies through robust data models
- Develop analytics to identify operational efficiencies and revenue opportunities
- Leverage AI and machine learning to develop sophisticated analytics solutions
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Create compelling data narratives and analytical presentations
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather key performance indicators (KPIs) and explain variances
- Communicate insights effectively through compelling analytical presentations
- Identify new opportunities through data-driven performance analysis
Implementation & Excellence
- Guide implementation of analytics solutions and strategic resource allocation
- Develop and monitor performance KPIs and success metrics for field operations
- Lead analytical reviews and adaptation of performance strategies
- Enable field revenue generation through the ASPIRE program analytics

The Customer Excellence team, a fast-paced, highly engaged, and results-oriented group, is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Customer Excellence and Field Solutions Data and Analytics team. You will play a crucial role in delivering best-in-class customer experience strategies and enabling field revenue generation through the Aspire program.
In this role, you will:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather key performance indicators (KPIs), explain variances, and identify new opportunities
- Design, analyze, and implement cost-driven strategies using robust data models
- Develop analytics to identify operational efficiencies.
- Leverage AI and machine learning to create complex analytics.
- Communicate insights effectively through compelling visual presentations (graphics over text).

- A proven track record in performance consulting, business analytics, and/or revenue operations
- Strong analytical skills for complex data and KPIs
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL
- Advanced knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Google Sheets)

- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Analytics, or related field
- 5+ years of business systems analysis experience in enterprise environments
- Proven track record in performance consulting, business analytics, and/or revenue operations
- Strong analytical skills for complex data and KPIs
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL
- Advanced knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Google Sheets)
