The Integrated Planning team within Customer Network Planning (CNP) is in charge of TELUS end-to-end network plans and corresponding investments across all technology domains.

As an Integrated Planner you will be at the forefront of the development of our 5-year network plan across wireless and wireline technologies, synchronizing all planning teams to optimize network deployments and drive the best outcomes for our customers.

 

You will leverage your technical knowledge of telecommunications including 5G, Fibre and virtualization combined with your strategic thinking and planning skills to help shape the future of TELUS’ award-winning network.

 

Your passion for technology, business acumen and collaborative leadership will help you foster relationships with multiple business units to ensure strong alignment across planning teams, technology roadmaps and business outcomes.

 

Here’s how

 

  • Develop integrated network plans in collaboration with network planning teams across TELUS
  • Synchronize deployments to optimize our capital investment while maximizing outcomes
  • Articulate end-to-end capital programs in a compelling way to help secure funding and facilitate trade-offs
  • Run network scenarios analysis and clearly recommend options based on sound business cases
  • Spearhead continued improvements of tools and processes leveraging automation to simplify our delivery
  • Drive strategic alignment through strong partnerships with stakeholders, including strategy, DevOps, program management, product development and finance
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to the executive team on key strategic opportunities and updates

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Familiar with network planning and engineering in a service provider environment
  • Strong knowledge in 5G, LTE, IP, Fibre, Virtualization technologies
  • Good understanding of GIS (Geographic information systems)
  • Excellent strategic thinking with the ability to turn complex ideas into simple concepts/plans
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills to obtain commitment from cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills to leaders at all levels within the organization
  • Recognized as having strong business and financial acumen
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience as part of a network planning, engineering or software development team

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Experience in capital planning
  • Dashboard visualization and workflow tools
  • Experience working in cloud environment i.e. GCP

 

 

Midpoint Base Salary:
