Join our team and what we’ll accomplish together
As a member of TELUS’ wireless performance engineering team, you'll be responsible for optimizing the Radio Access Network (RAN), and finding new angles/methods to improve network performance, efficiently. You'll join the larger Wireless Networks & Services DevOps team that provides TELUS customers with the most reliable network and the best user experience, as we ready ourselves for an exciting and new 5G network. In this team, you'll ensure our customers' wireless experience continuously improves. Your "think outside of the box" and innovation mentality will help shape our key performance indicators (KPIs) which we use to govern our customers' wireless experience.
What you’ll do
- You'll be responsible for the wireless network performance in Western Canada
- You’ll be optimizing our RAN as we upgrade the infrastructure through band additions and 5G deployments
- You’ll ensure network performance KPIs are meeting our targets, and are continuously improving
- You’ll troubleshoot network degradations, determine root causes, and look for ways to prevent or reduce the impact to our customers
- You’ll support network upgrades by analyzing the impacts on performance, and proposing optimizations to enrich the overall customer experience
- You’ll aid our client support teams for escalated issues that may require network engineering to resolve
- You’ll be exposed to the latest wireless technology innovation planned for TELUS, and be ready to support their launch from a performance management perspective
