The TELUS PureFibre Team drives strategic capital allocation for our world-leading broadband network, delivering Canada's fastest and most reliable internet to homes and businesses across the country. We operate in a collaborative, high-performance environment centered around financial rigor and disciplined growth.

We are seeking a resourceful Financial Analyst who can synthesize complex datasets into strategic decisions that drive operational efficiency and profitability. If you thrive on solving complex financial challenges that shape core strategic decisions, this role is for you.

What you’ll do

  • Support financial close processes, reconciliation, variance analysis, and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to optimize margins and drive growth across the existing fibre footprint.
  • Conduct market and industry research to identify market trends, customer demand patterns, and margin expansion opportunities.
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis and summary reports to inform business strategy and decision making.

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial modeling and market research.
  • Proven ability to drive data-driven decision-making by leveraging analytics, dashboards, and metrics to monitor program health, identify risks early, and present strategic recommendations
  • Skilled at managing multiple deliverables in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Advanced Excel and G-Suite proficiency.

Great-to-haves

  • Experience in telecommunications or other capital-intensive industries.
  • Working knowledge of SAP/S4 HANA.
  • Knowledge of SQL and BI tools.
Salary Range:  $57,000-$105,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  10%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, even if the posted salary range doesn't match your expectations. We're open to discussing competitive compensation packages tailored to your experience level and expertise. TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:

  • Comprehensive total rewards package highlighting competitive salary and bonus structures, minimum 3 weeks of vacation, and flexible benefits plan to meet the needs of you and your family

  • Generous company matched pension and share purchase programs
  • Opportunity to give back to communities in which we work, live and serve
