Schedule: Regular Full Time – Temporary 1 year (40 hours per week)
Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday 7:30am MST to 5pm MST

Our team and what we’ll accomplish together:


Kinesiologists play a key role in our team environment; primarily they focus on fitness testing and feedback sessions as part of the Client and Occupational Health Assessments. The Kinesiologist will provide exemplary care and service to our clients in accordance with practice standards. The Kinesiologist will liaise with other clinic staff, physicians, and administrators to ensure safe and effective delivery of our services.


What you’ll do:
 

  • Perform patients’ fitness assessments using CSEP, Occupational Testing guidelines and in-line with the company’s protocols (FMS, body composition, strength, flexibility, aerobic etc.)
  • Perform vision, hearing, spirometry, audio, resting ecg and other testing and clinic related tasks as required
  • Perform ergonomic assessments and related tasks for occupational health clients
  • Provide clients with advice and recommendations according their health assessments
  • Review of client charts for accuracy and completeness ensuring client files are complete for that day’s appointments
  • Confer professionally with medical personnel regarding abnormalities and results
  • Compile and prepare reports on patients’ health status and assessment/test results
  • Ensure maintenance and availability of equipment as required by norms and regulations
  • Respond promptly to emergencies
  • Develop and implement individualized training programs for all personal training clients
  • Provide ongoing care to clients related to health goals and personalized care plans, including by support with exercise program design and healthy lifestyle habits
  • Responsibilities also include stocking and cleaning testing rooms, maintenance of testing equipment and performing related clinical and administrative duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring:

 

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics or Kinesiology or Exercise Science and 2-3 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting
  • Current and active member of CSEP CPT certification considered an asset
  • Occupational/Pre-Employment Testing is considered an asset
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Experience in lifestyle counseling and ongoing client management
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions affecting patient care
  • Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, while delivering highest level of patient care
  • Self-starter who demonstrates attention to detail, a high level of accountability and sound judgement 
  • Experience and interest in preventative health and education with desire for growth
  • Flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Work well under pressure and demonstrates a sense of urgency in completing time sensitive tasks
  • Experience with electronic health charting considered an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
