Location: TELUS Sky - Level 3, 685 Centre St S and TELUS Health Care Centre 301 – 906 16 Avenue SW, Calgary AB
Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday 7:30am MST to 5pm MST
Status: Regular Full-Time, 40 hours per week

What you’ll do
As part of the team, you'll be a key contact person for clients, clinical team members, staff, suppliers and guests, this team member is the voice and face of the company in many instances. You'll be responsible for all areas related to Laboratory:
- Perform tests and diagnostic examinations on patients including but not limited to phlebotomy, urine collection, processing and accessioning; shipping and analysis of samples
- Commit to continuous learning and becoming knowledgeable and proficient with new processes
- Collaborate with medical, kinesiology and dietitian staff for thorough understanding of their specific needs
- Ensure accuracy of all communication with co-workers, suppliers and doctors’ offices
- Interact with testing laboratories as required
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, staff, suppliers and other healthcare providers in the community
- Provide support to other staff as assigned
- Inventory management and supply ordering
- Support front desk by providing reception coverage during lunch breaks and absences
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Certification with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science with a General Certificate in all areas (RT)
- CPR Certification
- Experience in all areas of the laboratory will be considered a significant asset.
- Minimum 2 years of practical work experience in phlebotomy
- Self-directed and independent
- Strongly skilled in communication, interpersonal interaction, organization, and time management
- Passionate for all things technology - comfortable working with electronic medical record systems, iPads, and other state-of-the-art systems
- Passionate for problem solving and implementing technological solutions to streamline processes and increase efficiency
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate preferred
