Join us in leading the charge for data-driven decision-making across the National TELUS PureFibre Program (Falcon). 

 

We seek a passionate Manager, Reporting & Analytics to centralize the National Falcon Program's performance dashboards and directly support AI and data-driven strategy. Reporting to the Director, Falcon Program Office, you will lead a talented team of Senior Project Managers and Analysts, acting as an agent of change to drive the strategy for our centralized roadmap

What you'll do

 

As Manager of Falcon Reporting & Analytics, your team’s core mission is to build centralized dashboards that consolidate critical community, financial, and program data into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.

  • Lead a High-Impact Team: Pioneer the growth and adoption of our centralized dashboards and analytics platform by leading talented Senior Project Managers and Analysts.

  • Strategic Partnership: Cultivate and leverage relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners to ensure strategic alignment and drive platform adoption.

  • Negotiation & Communication: Expertly utilize your communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to drive consensus across all organizational levels

  • Define Technical Excellence: Establish and enforce best practices for enterprise-grade dashboard architecture, data modeling, and highly scalable data pipeline development.

  • Drive Value with KPIs: Collaborate with key stakeholders to define, track, and evolve KPI frameworks aligned with core organizational goals.

  • Data Alignment: Partner with data source owners to align the analytics roadmap with data availability and business priorities.

  • Coach and Mentor: Mentor, lead, and support a diverse, high-performing team, enabling their continuous professional growth and performance

  • Forecasting & Planning: Inform strategic opportunities and risks using data and market research, providing key insights that support annual strategic and financial planning.

You are a visionary technical leader focused on maximizing business impact through cutting-edge data and analytics.

  • Analytics Platform Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar solutions. You possess a solid understanding of LookML fundamentals, best practices, data modeling, and design.

  • Technical and Business Acumen: Your core strength is translating complex stakeholder needs into meaningful metrics and KPIs. You are highly data literate, comfortable with SQL, and capable of validating data accuracy and troubleshooting source system logic.

  • Collaborative Change Agent: You have a reputation for collaborating effectively with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and foster a robust culture of change for operational effectiveness.

  • People Leadership: An impressive track record of recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and successfully leading diverse, high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Data Storytelling & Visualization Impact: Proven ability to translate analytical findings into compelling, clear narratives and visualizations for executive consumption.

  • Data Governance Champion: Demonstrated experience implementing data governance practices and ensuring data quality, security, and ethical use across the platform.

  • Strategic Translation: Outcome-oriented, with the proven ability to translate complex business requirements into high-level designs, directly tracking value through KPI contribution.

  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Experience successfully supporting large, complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders and business units.

  • Strategic Agility: Highly skilled at balancing urgent business needs with the long-term analytics roadmap with the ability to effectively prioritize competing demands.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent.

  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with leading cloud-based analytics platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).

  • Financial Insight: Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and performance management.

  • Advanced Certifications: Certification in BI tools (Tableau Desktop Specialist, Power BI certification, etc.).

  • Governance Depth: Knowledge of data governance frameworks and Master Data Management (MDM) concepts.  
Salary Range:  $109,000-$202,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  20%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
