Description

Join our team and what we'll accomplish together

We are seeking a highly motivated Manager, National Fibre Build-to-Market Engagement to serve as the critical operational link between TELUS' fibre network construction program and its Go-To-Market (GTM) activation teams. This role is accountable for translating build progress into successful, timely market launches — ensuring every community TELUS builds in is commercially ready before, during, and after construction.

You will lead a team of Program Managers across both Western and Eastern Canada, orchestrating the seamless handoff from network build to market activation. You will own the Build-to-Market playbook, govern market readiness criteria, and ensure that community sentiment and brand trust are all in place before commercial launch.

This is a people leader role at the heart of TELUS' national fibre expansion, requiring strong cross-functional coordination skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to manage complex, multi-market programs simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Build-to-Market Transition - Serve as the accountable manager for the seamless handoff from network build to Go-To-Market activation, ensuring readiness across processes, community sentiment, and timing in every TELUS fibre build market.
  • Govern Market Readiness Standards - Define, maintain, and enforce clear market readiness criteria — including build completion milestones, permitting status, messaging and brand alignment — required to trigger GTM activation across Western and Eastern markets.
  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Alignment - Serve as the primary interlock between Construction, Network, Supply Ops, and GTM regional teams. Align all parties around a shared market-entry plan, resolving trade-offs and dependencies to protect launch velocity and commercial outcomes.
  • Translate Build Progress into Market Activation Plans - Convert real-time build milestones into targeted, market-ready activation briefs for each community. Coordinate with regional GTM teams (West, Quebec, East) on launch timing alignment and campaign readiness.
  • Drive Eastern Community Pipeline Readiness - Lead planning and sequencing for Eastern Canada's next communities and RFE (Ready for Engagement) timing, ensuring GTM teams are engaged early and aligned on launch windows as the East pipeline scales.
  • Safeguard Community Sentiment and Brand Trust - Develop and govern consistent branding, messaging, and scripting for TELUS's fibre co-investment entities in Eastern markets, ensuring field teams, Community Ambassadors, and partner organizations present a unified and compelling brand presence in every community.
  • Proactively Identify and Mitigate Launch Risks - Anticipate and address risks across construction delays, community issues, competitive response, and customer experience gaps before they impact brand reputation or revenue.
  • Drive Governance and Continuous Improvement - Support regular governance reporting, ELT updates, and program performance reviews. Establish closed-loop feedback between field teams, community stakeholders, and commercial leaders to continuously refine the Build-to-Market playbook.

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Planning, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in program/project management, Go-To-Market execution, community engagement, or telecom/fibre infrastructure programs
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-market programs simultaneously
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience translating operational milestones into market activation plans
  • Experience in people leadership with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of telecom infrastructure, construction milestones, and/or supply operations is a strong asset
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with reporting tools, dashboards, and program management platforms
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset, particularly for Quebec market engagement

What We Offer

  • Direct impact on the success of one of the largest fibre build programs in the region
  • Own the critical Build-to-Market transition that drives customer adoption and commercial performance
  • Lead a national team of Program Managers supporting Eastern and Western markets
  • Competitive compensation, performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits package
