Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday 9am MST to 5pm MST
Status: Regular Full-Time, 40 hours per week

By combining in-office visits with remote health monitoring, virtual care consultations and an intuitive patient app, Precision Health supports members every step of the way.

What you’ll do

 

As a Medical Imaging Technologist you will be responsible to: 
 

  • Ensure patients are correctly identified
  • Explain the procedure to patients as required
  • Assist patients to facilitate transport and positions
  • Ensure that all patient needs are fulfilled as they arise
  • Ensure patient confidentiality at all times
  • Ensures that materials, procedure area, and patients are prepared for the procedure
  • Perform routine performance checks on equipment and peripherals. Report non-operational equipment or equipment failure to the Operations Manager
  • Ensure complete and accurate patient screening and that imaging quality standards are maintained
  • Perform bone density scans and total body composition scans in the allocated time
  • Assist in orientating and evaluating new employees to routines and standards
  • Participate in educational programs, trainings, and workshops deemed appropriate

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring

 

A successful candidate must have/be:

 

  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program
  • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Current MRT registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT)
  • Strong professional judgment, organized and able to manage your time effectively
  • Strong problem solver, ability to critically think and analyze data
  • Diligent, autonomous, punctual, discreet, good people skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Good computer knowledge
  • Experience operating a GE Lunar Prodigy Bone Densitometry device an asset
  • Proficiency in performing body composition scans
  • Proficiency in performing bone densitometry scans
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to reproduce scans accurately
  • Proficient in using PACS/RIS systems

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • 1+ years of experience working in BMD
  • Ability to create protocols and manuals
