Customer Network Implementation – Outside Plant Special Project Enablement (CNI-OPSPE) is a small team with BIG scope - we are responsible for sustaining customer connectivity to TELUS Outside Plant infrastructure across BC and AB. We are the Project Management Office responsible for relocate and rebuild projects to keep our business and residential customers connected to our high quality world-class network delivering industry leading reliability and services.
In addition, we support change programs that advance our strategy to digitize and automate processes across the infrastructure build program, creating value for TELUS and our stakeholders. These change programs range from outsourcing demand driven build work to implementing new tools and systems that will drive meaningful improvements within TELUS operations.
We are seeking a Project Manager II with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget. The ideal candidate for this role:

As a Project Manager II you will own a portfolio of Infrastructure projects that interlock with Municipal and 3rd Party builds across AB. These projects include our Road Move program, which relocates TELUS infrastructure to a new alignment in support of maintaining Government, business and residential customer connectivity. It is critical that we coordinate our infrastructure builds with external timelines to ensure customer connectivity is not impacted. A day in the life includes:
- End to end accountability for project delivery
- Reporting on build progress
- Working with and influencing internal and external stakeholders to execute on deliverables
- Identifying and mitigating risks to achieve monthly targets both delivery and capital
- Ensure all project cost are tracked accurately and in a timely manner
- Development and monitoring of project plans and project execution applying Project Management principles
- Lead stakeholder forums; leverage the forums to drive required decisions across external and internal functional stakeholder leaders (build partners, third parties, internal engineering and construction teams, as well as offshore and onshore resources)
- Analyze data, summarize and track information, and create reports and presentations
- Add value to TELUS and our stakeholders by advancing change and supporting our efforts to digitize our day-to-day operations

- Demonstrated stakeholder facilitation skills, with specific experience in driving decision-making and problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to utilize PM tools, systems and methodologies to deliver projects on time and on budget
- Understanding of Telecommunications industry and the Public external stakeholders who we interface with to support Infrastructure growth and Maintenance across BC / AB
- You demonstrate exceptional time management and organization skills
- You have great interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and negotiation skills
- You are highly motivated, creative, and self-sufficient with ability to work successfully under pressure
Great Additions:
- Working knowledge of the TELUS network build processes and architecture
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary diploma in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent education and/or project management experience
- Budget management, including forecasting, management of financial transactions such as accruals, financial compliance
- Familiarity with JIRA / DOMO / SAP
