We are the Future Strategic Initiatives team in Customer Network Planning (CNP). We are responsible for driving future strategic initiatives in support of realizing One Network, Integrated Planning, and Network Strategy. We strive to ensure that we are driving forward the changes to support a next-generation fibre and wireless network. Our priorities include maximizing capital spend in support of driving down spend in legacy infrastructure.
We are looking for a leader ready for their next large challenge, bringing broad experience across a variety of disciplines including our customer-facing business areas, enabling business units, and technology.
To be successful in this highly visible leadership role,
- You will be responsible for bringing together stakeholders across TELUS, leading joint governance functions between the teams, and reporting on the strategic streams of work within the program
- You will possess a robust program management experience, having managed projects with multiple stakeholders in complex environments identifying risks and/or opportunities
- You are passionate about our customers and maintaining customer connectivity
- You have a natural ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external partners, and transform complicated and challenging opportunities into clear and simple solutions
- You are comfortable working with all levels of our organization, including senior leaders

Here’s how...
- As part of this role, you will own a portfolio of projects that will drive evolution to our One Network plan. Achieving the biggest value by avoiding placing legacy infrastructure and optimizing capital and operational spend
- Your role will be to
- Report on One Network Opportunities in Growth & Sustainment Access and MCE opportunities
- Work with and influence internal and external stakeholders to execute on deliverables
- Identify and mitigate risks to achieve reduction in legacy investment and avoidance savings while meeting project timelines
- In addition, you will help develop the portfolio and
- roll out program overviews to design and planning teams to drive opportunities
- develop additional tracking and reporting tools
- work with stakeholders to create communication and change management plans to support implementation of project deliverables
- You will lead stakeholder forums; leverage the forums to drive required decisions across internal functional stakeholder leaders
- And analyze data, summarize and track information, and create reports and presentations on program success, opportunities and risks

- Own a complex weave of interconnected schedules and priorities including different functional areas, different internal and external stakeholders
- Add value to TELUS and our stakeholders by supporting our efforts to migrate customers onto our world-leading broadband and wireless networks to prevent the investment of legacy Infrastructure
- Develop relationships and gain visibility to a broad range of leaders across our Integrated Planning, Marketing, Planning, Build, Design, and migration teams

- Demonstrated ability to implement programs and drive change within a complex stakeholder environment
- You have great interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- You are highly motivated, creative, and self-sufficient with ability to work successfully under pressure
Great Additions:
- Strong knowledge of Access infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of the TELUS network build processes and architecture
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary diploma in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent education and/or project management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
- Familiarity with JIRA / DOMO / SAP / Google Suite
