Our Customer Network Implementation (CNI) team is responsible for TELUS’ wireline investment, a primary return driver in TELUS’ annual ~$2.9 billion in capital expenditure. We continue to focus on investments in broadband infrastructure, including connecting more homes and businesses directly to TELUS PureFibre. 

 

This portfolio is on the cutting edge of innovation in the telecommunications space where TELUS is actively engaged with communities of all sizes, local and provincial governments, Indigenous communities and other organizations to identify opportunities to expand broadband technology and services to areas otherwise unreachable. This is a fast-growing portfolio and one of the most strategic network programs at TELUS.

As a Senior Program Manager, you’ll leverage your business acumen and you’ll constantly identify and evaluate opportunities to improve TELUS’ returns on investment.

 

With your passion to innovate, you’ll drive TELUS’ network transformation by collaborating with key business and functional stakeholders to promote and enable innovative and new methods that deliver exceptional business outcomes.

 

And with your ability to manage a complex and multi-faceted program, you’ll establish and reinforce processes which prioritize initiatives that allow our leadership to confidently make informed investment decisions.

 

Here's how 

 

  • Assessing program investment and leading key strategic conversations with multiple stakeholders to quickly mitigate risk
  • Compelling storytelling and executive presentations to support sound capital investments
  • Our scorecard, ensuring alignment to our business unit and that key initiatives are driven to take advantage of opportunities and threats
  • Seeking out new and innovative ways of doing things; identifying business opportunities with compelling returns for TELUS, our customers, and our shareholders
  • Maintaining and evolving key financial processes to ensure company financial intel and compliance
  • Establishing a methodology for identifying and evaluating business opportunities, including process improvement, by preparing and presenting detailed business cases in a simplified decision making manner
     

 

Qualifications

 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • You have solid understanding of the telecommunication industry and TELUS’ position within it
  • You successfully led the development and execution of robust business cases and are capable of sharing the results with executive audiences
  • You actively assess and manage risks and make recommendations to senior leaders
  • You have led multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams 
  • You have the ability to analyze opportunities to take educated shots and prioritize improvements
  • You are known for your relationship building skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • You have demonstrated ability to execute on complex projects, to ensure project timelines are met and deliverables are realized or exceeded

 

Great-to-haves (optional)

 

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate ideas, concepts or complex issues in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences
  • The ability to lead multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams in a matrix structure
  • A University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or other quantitative discipline
  • An MBA or demonstrated equivalence
  • 5+ years in complex program management or business consulting
