The TELUS PureFibre team is expanding our world-leading broadband network, connecting homes and businesses to Canada’s #1 internet for speed and reliability. We thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced culture and are relentlessly focused on achieving ambitious goals.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Program Manager - Financial Management and Planning to join us. If you have a passion for driving the analysis and forecasting of large projects and business units, managing exciting project opportunities, and creating relationships to support capital investment planning, you will be an incredible fit.
Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together:
As a process owner for our key growth initiatives, you will be an integral part of the financial planning, reporting, evaluation and management of our PureFibre program. You will support the team developing financial models that underpin our critical commercial agreements, and take ownership of the monthly budget and analysis, ensuring payments and reports are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
As a core member of the PureFibre Investments team, you will support process improvements and system upgrades. This role is for a highly detail-oriented program manager who can quickly and accurately evaluate performance, identify and resolve variances by working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise will directly enable the partnerships that fuel our growth.
Here's how:
- Support Forecast Management: You will manage program requirements including monthly forecast updates, supporting variance analysis and exceptions, and preparing monthly payments. You will play a critical role in supporting system testing and upgrades related to managing forecasts and process improvement.
- Provide Decision Support & Strategic Insights: You will translate financial outputs into clear, compelling narratives and strategic recommendations. Your analysis will provide the critical insights needed for leadership to make informed decisions on programs.
- Enhance Standards & Capabilities: You will help to continuously improve our team's financial standards, tools, and processes. You will find new ways to analyze data and structure models that give TELUS a competitive edge in evaluating mission critical programs.
- Lead Business Case Development: You will support development of sophisticated financial models to evaluate new investment opportunities. You will be responsible for sensitivity analysis, scenario planning, and creating robust business cases that serve as the foundation for our planning.
Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
