Join our team

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Program Manager to play a pivotal role in the Multi Tenant Build Program. The Fibre Enablement Team is driving the future of Canadian connectivity. We're expanding TELUS' national footprint with a multi-billion dollar investment in crucial infrastructure, bringing our world-leading networks to new customers.

We influence all functions of delivery including: engineering, materials, construction and the official implementation handoff to marketing and install teams.

We are passionate about our team, our customers, our partner companies, our world-leading broadband networks and products, and about how we rapidly bring fibre capabilities to as many western Canadians as possible - while continually reducing risks on scope, schedule and budget.

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together.

As a Sr. Program Manager - Multi Tenant Build Program Governance, you are an articulate, goal-oriented program leader who drives & leads stakeholder decisions for delivery cadence, while driving optimal financial performance in a dynamic environment of funding availability.

You will work with both partners and project managers to deliver on program objectives. You will improve the program’s ROE (Right of Entry) process, and through your power of influence of external partners, deliver timely ROE agreements for our MxU build teams to execute on.

In collaboration with the other program leads, you will adjust program schedules to funding availability to regulate deliverables which meet overall program budget and milestone outcomes.

Here's how

  • Understand a combination of targets assigned to the MxU team (ROE targets, community-level deadlines, ROE process compliance)
  • Own the MxU build program end to end, providing status updates to various levels of management
  • Develop delivery levers to speed up or slow down delivery, in response to changes in funding availability
  • Respond to requests to adjust community prioritizations, and pivot partner delivery to support the changes by driving appropriate trade-off decisions and then working with individual project managers to quickly execute on the decisions
  • Lead weekly leadership status updates on the ROE progress, and with collaboration with the project managers, present overall program build status
  • Collaborate with the project team to create a 2 year rolling plan, enabling critical ROE delivery well ahead of the build deadlines

  • Leverage your streams’ successes to advocate for increased and advanced investments for the program
  • Deliver generational fibre-connectivity investments which will connect information traffic across Ontario and Quebec neighborhoods for the next few decades
  • Demonstrated ability to process both detailed variables, and broad strategic decisions to adjust program schedules at the correct level (e.g. understand the implications of changes in one part of a schedule, and adjust the other parts of the schedule appropriately)
  • Demonstrated stakeholder facilitation skills, with specific experience in driving decision-making
  • Previous successes in analyzing complex business changes and recommending solutions strategies/policy directions to senior management and external parties
  • Solid understanding project management, including forecasting, documentation and compliance
