Part of the Customer Excellence & Field Solutions (CE&FS) organization, the Business Resource Excellence team empowers Canadian businesses to thrive in a digital world. CE&FS links customers nationwide to the TELUS network, coordinating installations, repairs, and vendor partnerships so that skilled technicians can resolve issues quickly and confidently.

 

The Strategic Planning focus under CE&FS guides Field, Dispatch, Planning, and Partner operations. We pair rigorous financial oversight with our workforce planning, using advanced analytics, precise forecasting, and collaborative budgeting to turn our most valuable asset—time—into exceptional customer experiences. Reporting to the Director - Business Strategy Development, you will drive profitable growth by shaping the Field Strategic Capacity plan end-to-end. You will design and run forward-looking supply-and-demand models that translate product road-maps and RGU targets into the exact workforce mix required - optimizing labour spend and directly safeguarding EBITDA with a focus on an 18 month rolling plan.

 

Working hand-in-hand with Finance, you will convert these models into budgets that align with our long-term strategic plan, then track variances to uncover margin-expansion opportunities. Partnering with Product, Sales and Marketing, you’ll embed workforce needs early in go-to-market cycles so every new offering scales fast and cost-effectively. By leading cross-functional workforce reviews, you will keep the entire field organization focused on one goal: accelerating product growth while maximizing EBITDA and long-term strategic value.

You're the missing piece of the puzzle:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or related field
  • MBA is an asset
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic planning and execution (enablement, strategy, or operational)
  • Data mastery – A solid grounding in mathematics & statistics, fluency with large datasets, and the curiosity to turn raw numbers into clear, actionable insights
  • Commercial mindset – You naturally connect data to top-line growth, cost optimization, and EBITDA impact, translating analytics into smart investments and operational wins
  • Leadership & Effective Communication - strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver their best
  • Excellent problem-solving – A track record of untangling complex, ambiguous challenges and turning them into clear roadmaps and measurable results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Negotiation & influence – Adept at building alignment across diverse groups, balancing trade-offs, and championing data-driven decisions
  • Proven Change Management track record
  • Growth mindset – Passion for continuous learning in a fast-moving AI landscape; you stay ahead of the curve and bring the team with you

 

 

Salary Range:  $99,000-$149,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits such as:
