The Media Transformation and Effectiveness team is at the center of the TELUS Marketing Communications function; partnering with media agencies, marketing platform partners and TELUS marketing communications teams to maximize media effectiveness through the optimisation and evolution of our operating model, partnerships, adtech and data infrastructure, measurement solutions and team culture.

What you’ll do

 

As a Senior Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing transformational changes across TELUS’ media operations including uncovering opportunities to drive operational efficiencies, developing processes and playbooks to meet changing business needs, and identifying strategic opportunities to maximize the impact of media investments. You will do this using your deep experience and understanding of the media and agency ecosystem and by developing strong partnerships with teams from across the TELUS business units and extensive roster of agency and marketing platform partners.

  • Develop and implement innovative processes and solutions to improve operational efficiency and media effectiveness
  • Work with agency partners and TELUS marcom teams to facilitate the development of integrated solutions, ensuring business unit and big picture TELUS communications objectives are met
  • Collaborate with agencies, marketing platforms and TELUS teams to develop and execute an engaging learning agenda for TELUS Marketing Communications professionals
  • Act as a thought leader and change agent, advocating for the adoption of operational and media best practices
  • Lead the development of operational reporting and targets, ensuring KPIs have practical applications and meaningful impact on performance
  • Nurture media agency relationships and manage escalations to ensure positive outcomes

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring

 

  • Extensive experience in advertising agencies, client-side marketing communications, or marketing operations within large, complex organisations; telecom experience is a plus
  • Strong ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation
  • Recognised strategic and creative thinker with a track record of innovative problem-solving
  • Proven success in developing and implementing cross-functional projects
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Forward thinking and passionate about the future of the advertising & media industry

 

 

Salary Range:  $94,000-$142,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
