The Customer Solutions team is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and driven individual with a proven track record to join our Fibre Deployment & Enablement PMO. With your experience in formulation, development, implementation and delivery of a project, you will work with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts from widespread cross-functional teams across TELUS and our partners.  As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in planning, executing and delivering complex implementation projects. In this role, you will collaborate across business units, and with key internal and external stakeholders to execute on initiatives with high complexity and/or business impact. Your expertise will help us drive innovation and continuous improvement in fibre delivery to our customers in the East. 

 

Reporting to the Manager, Technology Strategy, this position is accountable for end-to-end project delivery, within a highly collaborative and capable group of team members.

 

In this role, you will: 

 

  • Work in partnership with our stakeholders to undertake and deliver change management projects and drive process improvements
  • Using your project management expertise, you will enable cross-functional teams to deliver on complex enablement projects
  • Work with stakeholders to align on product advancement and consistency between environments

*Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.) as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope. A good understanding of French is also required for this position.

As Part of this Role…

 

  • You will own project delivery of Fibre Service Areas and Multi Tenant Buildings
  • Review escalations and resolve customer services challenges
  • Maximize project delivery across cross functional groups
        - Inclusive of updating process flow
        - Playbooks
        - Identifying and mitigating risk
        - Right of Entry (ROE) Analysis
        - Financial Acumen for ROI
        - Understanding of Fibre Network design and infrastructure
  • Analyze data, summarize and track information, and create reports and presentations


What YOU bring:

 

  • Experience managing large scale Telecom construction projects with multiple stakeholder groups 
  • An ability to translate an ambiguous business problem into a clear concise business case and structured project/program
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation abilities with demonstrated ability to take the message upwards and across the team to senior leaders within and across the organization
  • Exceptional communication skills, you confidently & tactfully collaborate with teams across business areas and have the ability to influence decisions with more senior level audiences
  • Recognized for your exceptional analytical, problem-solving, financial and negotiation skills
  • Superior time management skills and attention to details


Nice to have’s:

 

  • Technologist Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, Engineering, Design or Project Management or equivalent education and/or experience
  • A passion for innovation and process improvement
  • Minimum 5+ years’ work experience managing projects or leading cross functional teams
  • Professional Designation in Project Management (PMP)
     
Salary Range:  $95,000-$143,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
