The successful candidate will join the Network Service Intelligence DevOps Team to provide leadership, technical expertise, support, and architecture for TELUS’ monitoring solutions. This position will be responsible for the development and operation of new solutions for monitoring 5G. The position is responsible for providing our customers throughout Canada with the highest Quality of Experience and delivery of any type of content over our 5G network.

 

Here's how

 

  • Create, deploy, and support new systems and services that you help build & operate
  • Bring familiarity with building and using various network-based tools (i.e. Optical Taps, Network Brokers, Packet Capture, Packet Analysis, Deep Packet inspection, etc.)
  • Develop new architectures and strategies to support the monitoring of our Customers quality of experience
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and architecture
  • Apply best practices of application management and troubleshoot integration issues
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts, Project Managers and Network Planners to ensure the successful delivery of projects
  • An understanding of the importance of automation and continuous integration and deployment

 

 

Qualification

 

You are the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • Diploma/ Bachelors Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering Degree
  • Strong understanding of 3GPP standards (5G/LTE/UMTS/HSPA)
  • 5+ years’ Network Management experience in a Mobile Service Provider

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Experience with Netscout, Sandvine, Riverbed or Wireshark platforms
  • Expertise with Packet Capture, Packet Analysis, or Deep Packet Inspection (DPI)
  • An understanding of optical taps and network brokers
  • Hands-on familiarity with packet capture
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts for Wireless and Wireline technologies
  • Linux experience
  • Python, Perl or Scripting experience
