The Home Networking Operations team is responsible for developing technologies to drive an exceptional customer experience in the evolving home networking space. They will provide the highest tier of support for home networking at TELUS, and will spearhead complex root cause analysis in collaboration with our vendor partners.
You will become a subject matter expert in home networking technologies and be working directly with the manufacturers to uncover any defects in delivered products. You will use your growing knowledge of technologies, vendor plans, and industry trends to provide guidance on our product roadmap. You will work closely with both our product development and CSD teams to ensure employee market trials of new technologies are leveraged effectively to uncover, isolate and root cause issues in the TS lab.
Here's how:
- Perform testing and ongoing support of home networking devices
- Recreate reported issues in a lab environment, and work closely with the manufacturer to root cause the issue
- Research new features, ecosystems and industry trends that will improve the reliability of our products
- Act as Subject Matter Expert when engaging with both internal stakeholders and external vendors/partners
Qualifications
What you bring
- Prior experience configuring, testing, and supporting home networking technologies
- Knowledge of diagnostics and troubleshooting methods for hardware and communications systems
- Ability to document detailed Root Cause Analysis summaries
- Understanding of residential gateway operation, routing and switching technologies, Wi-Fi, and MOCAs
- Working knowledge of product lifecycle management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 3-5 years of technical engineering experience
