Our team and what we’ll accomplish together
Kinesiologists play a key role in our team environment; primarily they focus on fitness testing and feedback sessions as part of the Client Health Assessments. The Kinesiologist will provide exemplary care and service to our clients in accordance with practice standards. The Kinesiologist will liaise with other clinic staff, physicians, and administrators to ensure safe and effective delivery of our services.
What you’ll do
- Provide clients with advice and recommendations according to their health assessments
- Perform patients’ physical assessments using ACSM and CSEP guidelines and in line with the company’s protocols relevant data (submaximal and maximal aerobic tests, FMS, flexibility, balance, strength, body composition by bio-impedance, etc.)
- Develop personalized and effective care plans for clients that are in line with our values and team strategies
- Provide evidence-based care to deliver high-quality, effective action plans
- Develop and implement individualized training programs for all personal training clients
- Respond promptly to emergencies
- Provide feedback, fitness related information to clients, as well as answer any questions they may have
What you bring
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics or Kinesiology and 1-2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting
- Current membership with The Alberta Kinesiology Association
- CSEP or ACSM certifications will be considered an asset
- Current CPR Certificate
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions affecting patient care
- Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, while delivering highest level of patient care
- Experience and interest in preventative health and education with desire for growth
- Flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Work well under pressure and demonstrates a sense of urgency in completing time-sensitive tasks
- Demonstrates flexibility in order to travel to off-site client locations as required
