The Wireline Engineering Build and Operate (WEBO) team manages wireline network deployment and field operation while being an engine of efficiency and innovation within the Customer Technology Excellence (CTE) organization. We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Performance Analysis Manager with a knack for challenging the status quo to join our Strategy, Transformation & Enablement (STE) team. The successful candidate will focus on identifying and initiating strategic initiatives that take organizational costs out, help win new customers over, and improve our network reliability. Additionally, the successful candidate will lead the development of systems needed to support our business and actively monitor the performance of WEBO across a multitude of operational and financial metrics.

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

As the Performance Analysis Manager within the STE Team you will utilize your exceptional leadership skills and analytical knowledge to guide your team to uncover and pitch transformation and improvement opportunities to the leadership team. You’ll leverage your operational and financial knowledge to monitor existing KPIs and recommend how they should evolve to optimize the performance of the business. You’ll also work with a broad stakeholder group to evolve and implement systems that compliment our processes. You will have to use your critical thinking and your excellent storytelling ability to bring key stakeholders on board to help realize the opportunities you uncover and support you as you evolve our systems. Finally you’ll keep up with the latest digital technologies available to our team spearheading the integration of Machine Learning / Artificial intelligence within WEBO’s processes.

Here’s how you’ll do it:

 

  • Guide the evolution of the data infrastructure WEBO utilizes and transform the data we collect into actionable insights through ad-hoc and regular reporting and by pitching opportunities uncovered in the data
  • comb through the data we collect and identify new data we should be collecting to unlock new transformation and improvement opportunities and empower existing ones
  • Manage WEBO’s scorecard and monitor additional performance indicators on an ongoing basis looking out for the operational and financial performance of our business
  • Support the development of systems that compliment the process 1200 WEBO team members utilize with an initial focus on dispatch and resource planning
  • Identify and deliver on a portfolio of digital projects to improve operational processes and customer experience
  • Spearhead the integration of Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence within our operations

Qualifications

  • An innovator who isn’t afraid to explore new ways of thinking and new technologies to achieve business objectives
  • Able to understand CAPEX and OPEX budgets and how various aspects of operations affect financial performance
  • Have experience with systems development including directing onshore and offshore resources as well as contractors
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results through coordination of multiple initiatives, removal of obstacles while navigating environment of rapid change
  • Have a University degree, post-secondary education or equivalent business experience

 
Great-to-haves

 

  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Process Improvement experience and certification (Green/Black Belt)
  • Ability to query data and write logic / algorithms
  • Previous accounting or finance experience
  • Google Cloud Platform experience especially with Big Query, Vertex AI or Workflows 
  • Knowledge of SAP and project related reporting within
  • Knowledge of TELUS dispatch systems
  • Strong knowledge of Looker Studio
