Ready to build the foundation for intelligent networks?
Our Team and What We'll Accomplish Together
Join TELUS Technology's Network Automation and Intelligence team, where we're revolutionizing how Canada's leading telecommunications network operates. We're a dynamic group of software engineers and network specialists building the intelligent, self-healing network of tomorrow. Our mission? To leverage cutting-edge AI and machine learning to predict network issues before they happen, optimize performance in real-time, and deliver exceptional experiences to millions of Canadians.
As the Technology Strategy Manager for the Network Automation Platform, you'll lead the technical execution of a transformational program that serves as the network automation platform across TELUS. You'll lead and mentor a team of 11 engineers while delivering critical platform components to support the applications driving the road to the autonomous networks. Your work will have high visibility across the organization, with regular engagement with the Chief Information Office (CIO) and Chief Technology Office (CTO) on progress and strategic decisions. This initiative will enable network automation and predictive maintenance at scale across TELUS, setting the foundation for how we operate networks for years to come.
What you'll do
- Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team across Cloud engineers, DevOps, Network Engineers developing capabilities, and fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence
- Define the technical vision and platform architecture in partnership with the Principal Technical Architect and stakeholders, making key technical decisions that balance cost, speed, quality, and maintainability
- Own platform reliability, performance, and security by establishing operational standards, managing incident response, and driving continuous improvement through monitoring and data-driven metrics
- Establish operational standards and governance frameworks
- Collaborate across organizational boundaries with the CIO, CTO network operations and development, automation teams, and AI/ML teams to understand their needs and ensure the platform delivers value
- Drive continuous improvement by building feedback loops, measuring platform performance and data quality metrics, and iterating on processes and capabilities
- Manage budget and resources for the team, including cost estimation, financial planning, and vendor/contractor management to ensure efficient delivery
