IoT Connected Devices is highly engaged group of individuals focused on enabling IoT Connectivity capabilities which will set the foundation for how TELUS Industry Solutions will build and deliver and connected platform ecosystem. IoT Connected Devices strategy is focused on earning market share leadership and global industry recognition. The team is seeking a talented, driven, passionate leader who has experience building and delivering a business strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the product management team for IoT Connectivity product management team responsible for all IoT wireless Network as well as IoT domestic and global Platforms. Developing in Agile and with a sizeable capital envelope, the leader of this team will have an opportunity to drive innovation through our industry-leading, self-service Jasper and Global platform. The IoT Connectivity product management team is leading the growth of mass IoT introducing new 5G capabilities and delivering a Global Connectivity Strategy focused on moving up the value stack.

The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role, leading a team that is at the centre of the TELUS connected platform ecosystem strategy. With broad-reaching responsibilities and a high degree of executive visibility, you’ll have the opportunity to create real, tangible value for TELUS customers by flexing your technical prowess, business acumen and leadership grit. 

 

Here’s how:

  • Lead a team of product owners and business analysts in the development the 5G IoT Core Network
  • Own the technical and business strategy for both TELUS Control Center and TELUS Global Connect connectivity platforms
  • Lead capital planning efforts with Business - MLT and manage a large capital budget 
  • Lead feature development for TELUS connectivity management platforms including the support of TELUS Device Management Customer Console and 
  • Be the product management face of IoT Connectivity to our sales team and executives across TELUS
  • Meet directly with key customers to solicit feedback, collaborate on pilot projects and in support of new customer acquisition
  • Liaise with BCX, TELUS Digital and TBS Marketing to ensure smooth operations and to support an outstanding customer experience for Iot Connectivity customers

What you bring to the table:

 

  • A track record of building and leading high-performing, technology driven teams
  • Extensive product management experience; expertise in agile product development is an asset
  • A Customers First orientation and a history of going above and beyond for B2B customers
  • Fluency with building effective business cases and articulating succinct business rationale to an executive audience including financial projections
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to solving problems and identifying appropriate solutions
  • Effective communication skills to be able to sell ideas to peers and executives, as well as external partners
  • Natural technical/business curiosity and a willingness to get into the details of a solution so that you can own the experience as the business prime
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills within a matrix organization
  • A proven track record in balancing immediate and long-term priorities, while being flexible and adaptable
  • Knowledge of TELUS enterprise systems and experience working with TSBT is an asset
  • Experience with sales and operations an asset 

 

Great-to-haves 

 

  • Required Professional Designation/Certification:
  • University degree, preferably in Business, Engineering or Computer Science
  • MBA is an asset
  • 8+ years of work experience in product management, product development or service design
  • Prior experience managing a team is an asset
