Hours of Operation: Mobile Trailer Hours: Day, evening, and weekend shifts

Our Team and What We’ll Accomplish Together
The Occupational Health Technician will be responsible for providing medical screening and testing of clients, as well as providing administrative support in the clinic as needed.
What You’ll Do
Occupational Health Responsibilities:
- Contribute to health assessments under the guidance of a Health Care Professional.
- Flexible to travel to employer office and/or mobile trailer to perform clinical assessments in mobile clinics, Flu clinic, health surveillance assessments etc
- Complete and assist with various tests you are competent and certified to perform, such as drug testing, alcohol testing, hearing, spirometry, respirator fit testing, vision testing, and physical demands assessments.
- Administer audiometric testing and spirometry/pulmonary function testing.
- Contribute to medical surveillance assessments per legislative programs under the guidance of a Health Care Professional.
- Create, update, and share various reports.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Claims and Medical Documentation Coordination Responsibilities:
- Review claim forms, medical reports, investigation reports, and contract provisions.
- Communicate results following OH legislation.
- Provide written and verbal communication regarding claim inquiries and outcomes to claimants, clients, administrators, doctors, and other insurers.
- Work in-clinic, on-site, or in a mobile occupational health trailer.
- Manually lift and carry equipment safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Understand and apply infection control principles.
- Navigate medical equipment setup, software, and administration independently in remote areas.
- Be proficient in IT.
- Experience using Cority.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- High School Diploma.
- Relevant education in a health-related field (asset).
- Knowledge of medical terminology (asset).
- Current CPR and first aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Audiometric and Spirometry certification or willingness to urgently obtain certification.
- MROA designation, urine drug screen certification, and breath alcohol testing certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience with after-hours drug and alcohol testing (asset).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
- Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work flexible hours and remotely throughout Edmonton and surrounding area, delivering occupational health services via our mobile trailer.
