Our team and what we’ll accomplish together
TELUS Health Care Centres is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Family Health program in Edmonton. You'll build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients across their care journey—not episodic encounters. You'll have autonomy to assess, diagnose, and manage care plans independently, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to deliver preventive and chronic disease care.
The Edmonton Care Centre serves families seeking accessible primary care—from preventive health and immunizations to management of chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension. Registered Nurses play an integral role in the provision of high-quality care across all our programs.
As a Registered Nurse in our Family Health program, you'll conduct comprehensive health assessments, develop individualized care plans, manage complex chronic conditions, and serve as a health coach—making clinical decisions that directly improve patient outcomes.
What you’ll do
You will be responsible for the provision of family health nursing care within the scope of CRNA, with a focus on assessing care needs on intake, triage and navigation to appropriate services, disease prevention and health promotion, travel medicine, and chronic and complex disease care management.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting patients through acute health needs and ongoing chronic disease management.
- Conducting individual patient assessment and treatment: comprehensive health assessments, immunizations, procedures, and regular patient follow-up to promote health and counsel on disease prevention.
- Triaging acute concerns and providing anticipatory guidance as needed.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive care plans independently, drawing on current clinical guidelines and your nursing judgment. You'll evaluate outcomes, adjust interventions, and escalate to the physician or specialist when indicated.
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of current guidelines, practice standards, and medical directives.
- Communicating and working effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, dieticians, kinesiologists, laboratory technicians, and other healthcare providers.

- BN or BScN from a recognized and accredited program
- Current CRNA (College of Registered Nurses of Alberta) license in good standing
- BLS Provider course up to date
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in any setting (hospital, clinic, community health, or long-term care)
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel) is expected. We provide training on our specific EMR system.
Great-to-Haves:
- Experience with chronic disease management and longitudinal care
