We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Public Sector Senior Account Manager to join our team in <Vancouver, BC / Toronto, ON / Edmonton, AB>. As a Senior Account Manager, you will work collaboratively with strategic public sector clients to leverage healthcare technologies and innovation to deliver on our shared goal of improving access to care. Your strategic thinking, industry knowledge, integrated sales techniques will be critical to your success in this position.

 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working in Public Sector sales, preferably in healthcare, with a strong ability to rally stakeholders to a common purpose and inspire confidence and trust.

 

How you will succeed:

 

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Planning: 
    • Establish and nurture strong executive-level relationships
    • Drive strategic business planning to shape client decisions and outcomes to deliver growth and capture new opportunities
    • Develop comprehensive territory, account, and opportunity plans based on deep understanding of client goals and objectives
    • Increase customer value realization through product/service adoption, risk management, and enhanced overall customer experience
    • Execute PSO ( Premier Sales Organization) methodologies to exceed targets, optimize sales processes and customer outcomes
  • Thought Leadership:
    • Establish credibility as a trusted advisor through deep industry knowledge and market expertise
    • Develop a positive profile for TELUS through networking, attending and participating in trade shows and conferences, public speaking, and other events
    • Create platforms for clients to engage with industry peers and TELUS experts to share best practices and drive innovation
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Deal Design:
    • Partner cross-functional internal teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations) to create and deliver compelling value propositions aligned with client objectives
    • Act as an authentic customer advocate to manage stakeholder expectations and proactively address potential issues with mitigation strategies
    • Craft and present executive-level proposals that articulate TELUS' differentiated value proposition
    • Navigate complex contract negotiations leveraging deep understanding of client procurement processes

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in sales/marketing, clinical care delivery, clinical operations and/or consulting within a healthcare environment
  • Existing relationships within the public sector
  • Strong understanding of virtual care and/or remote patient monitoring
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal teams
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry event
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field; MBA and/or Clinical designations a strong asset

 

 

Salary Range:  $87,000-$131,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  $50,000-100,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location. Additionally, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
