As a Senior Security Delivery Professional, you are someone who excels in customer service and enjoys providing a white glove experience to customers, and you are excited by new and evolving technology. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the security and satisfaction of our residential customers. By having an expert in place, the installation and repair processes are carried out efficiently and effectively, meeting the specific requirements and expectations of each customer. The seamless collaboration with contractors and sales teams ensures a coordinated approach to project delivery, enhancing the overall customer experience. Additionally, the expertise in advanced video solutions and premium AV products guarantees that customers receive top-notch security solutions that align with the latest technology standards. Ultimately, the Senior Security Delivery Professional's passion for high-quality customer service and technology contributes to building trust, satisfaction, and long-term relationships with customers. 

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Delivering exceptional customer outcomes by leveraging a blend of excellent communication, technical and customer service skills. You take pride in your work, and maintain high standards in all your interactions
  • Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities and promoting additional products and services to homeowners
  • Installing and repairing residential alarm and automation systems
  • Educating customers on smart-home technology, and providing expert analysis to build solutions that address customer needs and concerns
  • Technical expertise that included the design of seamless home networks and advanced video solutions. In addition, provide support for other products such as, internet, TV, and audio-video solutions
  • Collaborating with vendors for project execution
  • Managing projects from start to finish

Qualifications

 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle with your…

 

  • Enhanced track record of delivering exceptional customer service, coupled with a proactive approach to assisting customers in various areas when required.
  • You're comfortable with solutions based selling, recommending products to your customers and up-selling and cross-selling TELUS services and products
  • Normal colour vision which is required to work with color-coded wiring
  • Proactiveness, demonstrated effective decision-making skills and ability to work effectively with limited supervision
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and effectively work in a team environment and collaborate with other departments
  • Follow safe work practices and abide by all safety rules and regulations
  • Exhibit enthusiasm to continuous learning, high performance and have a demonstrated ability to learn and apply learned skills to related situations
  • Proven experience in delivering security solutions and services to residential customers
  • Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi setup and troubleshooting techniques in home environments
  • Familiarity with premium audio-video products and their installation in homes
  • Excellent project management skills with a focus on completing residential projects
  • You can handle physically demanding work, which includes heavy lifting, crawling in confined spaces, working in all weather conditions and are comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders
  • Flexibility to work various shifts: days, evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, to meet business needs
  • Fluency in English, with proven professional oral and written communications skills, proficiency in other languages would be a bonus
  • You are bondable (a security clearance and criminal record check is required), with a clean and valid Class 5 Driver's License without GDL or restrictions - or other provincial equivalent (a driver’s abstract will be required)

 

Note: Successful applicants are required to obtain a Security Alarm Installer License from the applicable provincial government

Great to have
 

  • Post-secondary education in electronics, computers/IT or similar is an asset
  • Security Systems Technician Trades Qualified (TQ) certification is an asset
  • Previous security alarm installation experience is an asset

 

 

Salary Range:  $56,000-$84,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  5%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
