As Senior Strategy Manager you will actively collaborate with teams in CAF and across our business. You are a dynamic and accomplished individual who:

 

  • Drives exceptional outcomes through cross-functional program leadership
  • Leverages data insights to support decisions, develops innovative solutions, and passionately uses technology to advance our business
  • Understands the importance of relationships, effective collaboration, and quickly building trust across the organization

 

This role reports to the VP Finance Assurance & Operations, Finance Business Partners.

What you will do

 

You will collaborate with stakeholders and executives across Corporate Affairs & Finance, and across TELUS to advance strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the organization's overall financial performance. In this role, you will identify key opportunities stemming from emerging technologies and market trends to propel the business forward and maintain ongoing profitability. Your practical approach will be instrumental in driving success throughout the organization.

 

Here’s how

 

  • AI & Process Modernization: Develop and execute a formal process modernization plan utilizing technology (ie. FBP.ai, ML, Automation). This involves collaborating team members across FBP, to create an ROI based plan, and engaging with technical and business stakeholders across the organization to deliver results
  • Working Capital: Support FA&O engagement through the cross-functional Working Capital program across FA&O, Procurement, Inventory, Treasury. Support the governance framework, work with primes to establish KPIs, targets etc
  • Strategy Development for Analytics and Enablement: Work with AP & Analytics Dir and FAO team to build and support the strategy for the analytics and insights team
  • Margin Assurance Framework: Support Revenue Assurance team to conduct industry analysis, benchmarking, and assist in the development of a functional MVP framework to ensure margin assurance

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring

 

  • Five or more years of experience providing program management, business planning and financial operational support as a high-performing single contributor
  • Unquestionable professionalism, integrity and ethics with a desire to learn and become a value-add team member, hands-on approach to problem-solving in a proactive and collaborative manner
  • Able to present complex information in an easily understood manner, tailoring the communication to diverse audiences to facilitate understanding
  • Engaging communicator with strong presentation skills, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact confidently with senior management, business stakeholders and tax authorities
  • Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills with the ability to foster cross-functional teamwork to achieve outcomes in challenging environments (tight deadlines, limited information or resources, etc.)
  • Regarded as an exceptional communicator, influencer and negotiator, able to build and maintain effective partnerships internally and externally with all stakeholders, including senior leaders
  • Sought out for your ability to seek out, analyze and translate facts, data and intelligence into key insights, concept and recommendations
  • Project execution excellence
  • Bachelor’s degree in any domain; preferably business

Salary Range:  $94,000-$142,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
