TELUS is looking for an experienced Senior Software developer to join the B2B Digital Commerce and Mobility Management Team that deliver Direct-to-Customer experience that empowers and enables corporate customers through best-in-class tools, platforms and processes to support Day 1 (ordering) and Day 2 (manage) activities via the Self-Serve portal. You will be joining an agile and collaborative team responsible for strategic roadmap, design, development and operational support of the whole portfolio.

As a Senior sfoftware Developer within Business Transformation you will be involved in developing and delivering scalable and reusable J2EE software solutions. You will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including planning, technical design, construction, documentation, testing and deployment. Your primary role will be development of software components, business applications and assembly testing.


Here’s how


  • Ensure development tasks delivers as promised on all projects
  • Ensure best practices are adhered to for all application development
  • Build applications that are scalable with reusable components in the required technology
  • Perform coding and package configuration including break fix
  • Lead in the design of components, configurations and interfaces required to deliver solutions
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert in an application area/portfolio





You’re the missing piece of the puzzle


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in large-scale Java / J2EE web application development (JSP, Servlets, XML, etc.) or services development
  • Experience implementing Java e-commerce applications
  • Experience interfacing and communicating directly with clients
  • Experienced in Eclipse
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience developing in SQL (stored procedures)
  • Minimum of 3 years with at least one framework (ie. Jakarta Struts, Spring, etc.)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with at least one of the following databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with at least one Java application server (ie. BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, JBoss, etc.)


Required Professional Designation/Certification:


  • A university degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering or the equivalent experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities
