Join the Migrations Center of Excellence (MCoE) Team!

At TELUS, you're part of a future-friendly national team, one that embraces change and initiates opportunity, has a passion for growth, believes in spirited teamwork, and has the courage to innovate. This role resides within the Migrations Center of Excellence (MCoE), TELUS's specialized team dedicated to delivering seamless customer experiences during mandatory network transitions and infrastructure modernization. We provide expert guidance, technical excellence, and personalized support to maintain exceptional customer satisfaction and business continuity during critical network transitions. We are looking for a data-driven visionary who can blend advanced analytical prowess with high-level strategic planning to drive our business forward.

Join our team and what we'll accomplish together

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Strategy Manager to bridge the gap between complex data science and executive-level business strategy. You will use advanced analytics to extract and develop insights from multi-channel, unstructured data, creating quantitative models that increase revenue, reduce costs, drive growth, and influence our overarching business strategy.

Your work will be instrumental in setting the business unit's trajectory. By analyzing market shifts and conducting scenario-based analyses, you will directly inform the Senior Leadership team and ensure our strategic initiatives are successfully executed.

What you'll do

  • Advanced Analytics & Insights: Use advanced analytics to extract and develop insights from multi-channel, unstructured data to increase revenue, reduce costs, drive growth, and influence business strategy
  • Model Development: Research, evaluate, and develop quantitative models to predict customer behavior and address critical business challenges
  • Strategic Planning: Lead the development of the business unit's overall strategic plan and conduct semi-annual strategic reviews
  • Market Intelligence: Analyze key market trends and shifts to identify potential impacts and new business opportunities
  • Executive Advisement: Develop scenario-based analyses and confidently present recommendations to the Senior Leadership team through capable executive storytelling
  • Initiative Leadership: Lead, develop, monitor, and ensure the successful delivery of strategic initiatives across the business unit
  • Performance Management: Establish a performance management framework that aligns metrics and KPIs directly to our strategic goals

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Strategic & Analytical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of business data, process methodology, and strategic planning
  • Expert Communication & Storytelling: Clear and compelling presentation skills with the ability to confidently present complex analyses and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Financial & Business Acumen: Strong understanding of general financial principles, including budget management, P&L, and how quantitative models impact revenue and costs
  • Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Advanced ability to influence, negotiate, and work effectively with cross-functional teams and various levels of management to drive alignment
  • Education & Experience: A university degree and 7–10+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Great-to-Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Experience in analytics engineering and data visualization tools such as Looker to translate data into actionable insights

Salary Range:  $86,000-$136,000
