Our team and what we’ll accomplish together

 

TELUS Health has a team of dynamic Fitness & Wellness Consultants across the country. These individuals help our clients live their best lives through the use of physical activity, wellness workshops and health fairs. We are looking for a part time Fitness & Wellness Consultant in the Debert, Nova Scotia area. Ideally this person will have experience in the corporate fitness & wellness field.

 

This position is on-site 16 hours per month, (8 hours bi-weekly).

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Organize special events, workshops, and lunch and learn presentations, annual health fair 
  • Lead on-site stretch breaks
  • Conduct wellness consultations upon request on areas related to fitness, mobility, injury prevention and back care including recommendations and follow up 
  • Promote and share TELUS Health monthly wellness resources
  • Promote and share wellness partner resources
  • Report monthly and/or quarterly participation stats

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring:

 

  • Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness or Health promotion
  • Current certifications in personal training and CPR/First Aid/AED 
  • Positive energy, confidence, ability to engage with diverse groups of people
  • High degree of self motivation and initiative
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills with ability to adapt to and learn various software applications

Salary Range:  $19-$29
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  0%
