TELUS is seeking a High-Velocity Sales account manager to proactively acquire new named accounts and drive rapid revenue expansion across Canada's mid-market segment. This is fast-paced, results-driven selling for competitive sales professionals who excel at prospecting, closing new business, and maximizing account value through strategic upsells and cross-sells.
The Role
Drive your territory with a hunter's mentality - prospect proactively, close deals fast, then expand strategically. Leverage TELUS's comprehensive technology portfolio (5G, IoT, AI, cybersecurity, cloud) to rapidly convert prospects into customers, then unlock additional revenue through targeted upsells and cross-sells. This is high-velocity selling focused on both net-new customer acquisition and accelerated account growth.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect new named accounts through cold calling, social selling, networking, and targeted outreach campaigns
- Rapidly qualify and close new business opportunities with short sales cycles (30-90 days)
- Maximize account value through strategic upsells and cross-sells across TELUS's technology portfolio
- Drive velocity - maintain high activity levels for both new customer acquisition and account expansion
- Build pipeline relentlessly - maintain 3-4x coverage through continuous prospecting while nurturing existing accounts
- Execute high-volume outreach - 50+ prospecting touches daily across calls, emails, and social channels
- Manage account growth - develop expansion strategies for closed accounts to unlock additional revenue
- Compete and win - outmaneuver competitors through speed, persistence, and compelling differentiation
- Leverage PSO methodologies to accelerate deal velocity and maximize total account revenue

Qualifications
- 3+ years new business acquisition and account growth in B2B sales
- Proven hunter mentality with consistent track record of exceeding new revenue and expansion quotas
- Demonstrated success with rapid deal closure and strategic account expansion
- Cold calling/prospecting expertise - comfortable with high daily activity levels
- Account management skills - ability to identify expansion opportunities and execute cross-sell strategies
- Salesforce CRM proficiency with rigorous pipeline management discipline
- Structured sales methodology experience (MEDDIC, Challenger, SPIN)
- Bilingual English & French required: Intermediate knowledge of English is required because you will occasionally interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.) as part of this position's main responsibilities given its provincial scope.
Technical Knowledge:
- Technology solution awareness across TELUS portfolio to identify cross-sell opportunities
- Ability to quickly articulate business value and competitive differentiation
- Comfortable with technical conversations to advance deals and expand accounts
