We are looking for a Cloud Developer/Technical Support Specialist who will passionately provide excellent technical customer service support for Google Cloud products solutions and application program interfaces (APIs), including App Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage and Databases.
Working in a blended call center environment, you will provide real time technical assistance and developer support over the phone and via online communications based on client requirements as part of a global 24x7 support organization. This role will also work closely with engineers and product managers to improve Google products and help set up their customers for success.

- Collaborating with internal support teams and customers to identify and document product bugs and feature requests

- Partnering with internal teams to improve cloud products at a senior level
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Advanced knowledge of English is required: Most of the time you will interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, external partners, etc.) as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its international scope
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, Go, or similar
- Database Management: Experience with various database technologies, including relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB), and cloud-native databases (e.g., Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL)
- Cloud Computing: Deep understanding of cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Azure, including their core services and serverless offerings
- API Gateway: Familiarity with API gateway services and their role in serverless architectures
- Demonstrate comprehensive troubleshooting tactics
- Ability to quickly learn and explain new complex technologies and subjects
- Resourcefulness and strong research skills
- Significant abilities in reading, understanding and writing code samples to replicate customer issues, as well as reading and understanding logs and stack traces
- Punctuality, aware of professional etiquette standards, and 24/7 availability
Great-to-have
- Proficiency in French speaking and writing is an asset
- Experience in supporting the development and deployment of serverless applications
- GCP Storage: Deep understanding of GCP storage services, including Cloud Storage, Storage Transfer Service, Filestore, and related block, file, and object storage technologies. This includes expertise in storage classes, data lifecycle management, security features (e.g., encryption, access control), and performance optimization
- Practical knowledge of Open Authorization (OAuth) servers, SQL (any dialect) Cloud Computing & PaaS modern API technologies
- Networking: Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and load balancing, and their impact on storage performance and accessibility
- Experience querying logs to troubleshoot issues, including authoring SQL statements
- Containerization: Familiarity with Docker/Containerd and its role in deploying and managing applications that interact with storage services
Preferred Qualifications:
- College diploma in Computer Science or 2 years of relevant knowledge / experience
- Effectively build solutions with Linux-based systems
- Proficient with web protocols: Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Transport Layer Security (TLS), etc
- Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git and GitHub for code management and collaboration.
- Large Systems Experience: Hands-on experience with large-scale systems, such as system administration, system design, or commercial application/web/backend development.
- Database Administration: Familiarity with how to manage and administer databases in a serverless context, including performance tuning, and preferably data modeling.
- Troubleshooting: Proven ability to troubleshoot storage-related issues using GCP tools and logs, including analyzing stack traces, identifying performance bottlenecks, and resolving connectivity problems.
Certifications:
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification is desired
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification is desired
- Google Cloud Professional Database Engineer certification is highly desired
