What you'll do
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of creative content creation and production, as well as strategic relationships with external creative agencies for various initiatives. This role requires expertise in creative direction, creative project management, and agency partnership management.
Creative Management and Artistic Direction:
- Define creative vision and artistic direction for marketing initiatives
- Develop creative briefs and specifications for projects
- Ensure creative consistency and alignment with TELUS brand
- Evaluate creative quality of deliverables and provide constructive feedback
Agency Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with creative agencies
- Select and evaluate creative agencies for different projects
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with agencies
- Manage agency portfolio and optimize partnerships
Campaign Support and Marketing Initiatives:
- Create marketing assets and coordinate with channels, partners, influencers
- Develop social media playbooks
- Create campaigns, rallies, scripts, etc.
- Ensure creative consistency across all channels (digital, print, video, events)
Creative Project Management:
- Plan and coordinate creative projects end-to-end
- Define timelines, milestones, and deliverables for each project
- Ensure compliance with deadlines and budgets for creative projects
- Manage changes and scope adjustments for projects
Budget and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage overall budget for creative activities
- Track expenses by agency and by project
- Optimize allocation of creative resources
- Provide regular financial reports and creative ROI analyses
Intermediate knowledge of English is required because you will on a regular basis interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
Qualifications
What you bring
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, arts, design, communication, or related field
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in creative management, artistic direction, or marketing
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing relationships with creative agencies
- Demonstrated experience managing complex creative projects
- Deep knowledge of Quebec/Ontario market and its cultural specificities
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of design and creative production tools (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
- Experience with project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Jira, etc.)
- Budget and financial management skills
- Knowledge of CRM systems and marketing tools
Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in French and English
- Leadership and ability to influence and motivate creative teams
- Strategic thinking and creative vision
- Ability to evaluate and critique creative work constructively
