At TELUS Health, we’re looking for accomplished sales professionals who are obsessed with winning high margin business via positioning and closing on transformational ideas with clients at the executive and C-level.


In our highly dynamic, fast-paced B2B environment, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Account Executive to target new business and grow our Occupational Health and Executive Health portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and driving the expansion of our Care Centre suite of services. Your strategic thinking, industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills will be critical to your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Business Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop a comprehensive business development strategy and plan 
    • Define target client segments, prioritize opportunities, and set clear objectives for revenue growth and market penetration.
    • Develop and manage a strong pipeline to ensure 3-4x quota target coverage
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and clients in target industries
    • Develop a positive profile for TELUS through networking, attending and participating in trade shows and conferences, public speaking, and other sources
    • Prepare and present comprehensive and compelling business presentations to various internal and external constituencies including senior client executives
    • Understand clients' needs, challenges, and pain points to tailor solutions that address their specific requirements
  • Sales and Lead Generation:
    • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, networking, and attending industry events
    • Collaborate with internal resources to create compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches that highlight the value of our services
  • Collaboration and Cross-functional Coordination:
    • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, finance and medical professionals, to ensure seamless execution and delivery of services
    • Provide valuable insights from the field to help refine service offerings and strategies

 

 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, preferably in the healthcare or corporate wellness industry
  • Strong understanding of occupational health, employee well-being, and executive health programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal teams
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding revenue targets
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events¸
  • Bilingual English and French, an asset

Salary Range:  $106,000-$160,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  $80,000-120,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
