Location: 6100 avenue du Boisé, Montréal
Status: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week)
Schedule: Monday to Friday ( operational hours: 7:00 to 19:00)
Our team and what we’ll accomplish together
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provide nursing care to patients, usually under the supervision of doctors, registered nurses, or other healthcare team members. Operating room technicians prepare patients and assist practitioners before and during surgeries. Auxiliary nurses work in hospitals, nursing homes, long-term care establishments, rehabilitation centers, doctors' offices, clinics, companies, community health centers, and private homes. Operating room technicians work in hospitals.
What you’ll do
- Triaging clients who have primary care concerns and recognizing red flags that require urgent care while properly taking a history and communicating that to Medical Director and Clinic Operations Manager for review
- Interacting with patients on the phone and communicating results
- Fulfilling administrative tasks such as making appointments, faxing, reviewing lab results, discussing diagnostic results with clients and EMR
- Proficient in processing referrals and keeping track of referrals
- Act as a clinical resource to staff and be willing to train new staff as appropriate
- Potential to do blood drawing and administer vaccines in Executive Health clinic
- Thorough understanding of medical directives, guidelines, policies and procedures to provide the highest quality of care to clients
- Diligently participate in the company's training to ensure up to date knowledge of medicine and vaccination
- Ensure clear and accountable documentation practices following accepted Company and CNO standards
- Provide individualized risk assessment and risk management information, as it relates to general health
- Order medical and health related supplies and restock handouts (photocopies, requisitions etc.)
- Act as the clinical resource for staff and clients during critical clinical situations
- Follow-up with the physician, the patient and Team Manager where appropriate
Qualifications
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle
- Hold a certificate in Health, Assistance and Nursing
- Member in good standing of the OIIAQ
- CPR certification up to date
- Good professional judgment
- Autonomy, punctuality, discretion, interpersonal skills
- Sense of responsibility and organization
Great-to-haves
- Bilingual (French and English spoken and written)
- Minimum of one year of experience
