The TELUS Data & Trust Office (DTO) provides world-class, innovative privacy, data and AI governance solutions to TELUS. We partner with teams across the organization to advance our corporate priorities, support innovation and ultimately deliver on our promise to safeguard our customers’ privacy and to earn and maintain their trust. Compliance with the law is the starting point from which we passionately pursue opportunities to demonstrate respect for our customers through transparent, robust, and ethical data practices. Our team takes pride in earning a reputation as innovative thought leaders, strategic business partners and subject matter experts in privacy, data ethics and AI governance.

We are deeply passionate about our team and business, thriving on innovative solutions and exceptional team member experiences. We lead strategies to strengthen the TELUS culture with cutting-edge initiatives, striving for excellence and an unyielding commitment to inspiring our team members, customers, and communities.

As a Senior Data & Trust Partner for TELUS Health you will act as a trusted advisor, consultant, change agent, and coach, building collaborative relationships with TELUS leaders. You will play a critical role in TELUS’ technology innovation, as you support strategic business needs. This role will also be instrumental in building, implementing, and managing new data and trust programs and initiatives from the ground up, covering a broad spectrum of privacy, data governance, and responsible AI functions to meet TELUS' evolving needs.

Your daily work involves engaging in conversations with the business you support, offering creative solutions and influencing leaders to help them create sustainable, winning programs. You will manage change, enhance teams, and foster an engaged and inspiring workplace. You are resilient, pragmatic, astute, and collaborative. Your counsel is built on logic, analysis, and strategy, coupled with a natural curiosity and an appreciation for learning from challenges. Your passion for making a difference directly impacts TELUS' success and creates positive outcomes for team members and customers.

What you’ll do

  • Partner and build effective relationships with TELUS leaders to address data and trust challenges, organizational design, and data and trust operational needs - offering expert advice, creative solutions, and new processes where required

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, expanding leadership capability, challenging the status quo, and ensuring data and trust strategies align with TELUS’ business goals, values, and its arms-length relationship with TELUS

  • Liaise with DTO subject matter experts to adapt shared programs, provide feedback, and design TELUS-specific initiatives when needed

  • Work in partnership with TELUS’ senior leadership to ensure optimal data and trust solutions are in place to meet dynamic business needs and align with TELUS values and business objectives

  • Design and adapt data and trust policies and programs to meet TELUS Health’s unique needs - such as privacy by design, data lifecycle management, and ethical AI development - while ensuring alignment with TELUS’ broader frameworks and philosophies

  • Coach and develop leaders while facilitating leadership programs that reflect TELUS’ culture and strengthen team performance and experience in data and trust

  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating ROI of data and trust programs, integrating TELUS offerings where appropriate, and creating TELUS-specific initiatives that enhance employee experience

  • Develop communications strategies and create content that engage employees, leaders, and stakeholders on data and trust matters

  • Ensure fairness, compliance, and autonomy in all data and trust programs—aligning with TELUS governance standards where applicable

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Versatile and collaborative, balancing creativity, execution, and teamwork across different levels and functions

  • Proven operator, experienced in managing day-to-day data and trust operations while designing and executing innovative solutions - often from a blank slate

  • Skilled project leader, with a strong track record of managing multiple complex initiatives from design through implementation.

  • Change navigator, adept at guiding leaders and teams through transformation, ambiguity, and fast-paced change with data-driven recommendations

  • Problem-solver and continuous learner, able to tackle complex issues even without all the answers, while proactively building new frameworks and programs

  • 5+ years in progressive data and trust partner or related roles with success building and implementing privacy, data governance, and responsible AI programs

  • Relevant certifications in privacy (e.g., CIPP), data governance (e.g., CDMP), or AI ethics are preferred assets

  • French/English bilingual capabilities are a highly valued asset for this role

  • Previous experience working in the healthcare sector is an asset, in particular with digital health technology
