You will collaborate with many stakeholders across the company to achieve your goals: with the leaders you support, with the P&C teams within TELUS and with many other peripheral teams. Your knowledge and expertise will be critical as you work to influence important changes within our business.
What you’ll do
- You are an expert advisor and have expertise in interpreting, negotiating, and administering collective agreement provisions
- You are a confident presenter and have effective facilitation and presentation skills. Exceptional written and communication skills are a must
- You are a risk guru and you provide day to day risk assessment to client groups and influence appropriately with respect to labour relations activities and issues
- You are also comfortable in a dynamic work environment that requires team work and collaboration
Qualifications
What you bring
- Bilingualism (English/French) is a requirement. Proficiency in French is critical
- You have 5 to 8 years of Labour Relations or relevant management experience including collective agreement interpretation, grievance/arbitration management, advocacy, and union/management relations
- You have experience with policy/process development and researching arbitral jurisprudence
- You have a Master's or bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations and/or related degree or equivalent in education and experience
Great-to-haves
- Experience with collective bargaining in a large, multi-union organization is an asset
