The Deployment and Operations lead is at the forefront of our wireless infrastructure build. This journey involves building our network efficiently (cost & time) while managing integrated processes. Our success depends on the most accurate and efficient Operational and Capital management to ensure we make the best possible business decisions.

We are seeking a team member with excellent Project and Financial control skills to help manage within governance and maintain clarity in a very dynamic environment.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be part of a high profile portfolio and report to the Deployment and Operations Lead.

Specifically, you will apply your extensive knowledge to manage our operational and capital plans & programs leveraging your

expertise to improve how we manage our programs and investments.

 

Here's how

 

• Manage and control Operational and Capital expenditure for national Wireless infrastructure build and maintenance.

• Coordinate with Implementation and Operation teams to build a detailed forecast

• Control, monitor and report monthly spend per program/activity

• Minimize variance and resolve related issues developing action plans

• Lead regular meeting to communicate results and provide project financial insights to PM Teams

• Provide variance explanation to upper management levels

• Manage plan changes ensuring overall budget control

• Perform cost analysis

• Maintain detailed Budget Master sheets

• Use project tracking systems including SAP PS, MM & FI modules, MS Excel, Google suite and others.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to analyze and translate large volumes of data into clear findings

• Experience in presenting results to upper management levels

• You connect the dots, see the big picture

• Excellent time management, organizational effectiveness and attention to detail

• Work effectively as part of a team and independently to meet agreed-upon deadlines

• Demonstrate a "can-do" attitude that fosters a positive productive working environment

• 5-7 years of experience with Project Management and Business analysis

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or relatable

 

Great-to-haves

 

• SAP PS module knowledge

• Telecommunication industry experience is an asset

• Bilingual (French/English) language skills are an asset


Locations: Preference for Montreal but can work from Calgary/Edmonton, Toronto or Vancouver.

 

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.

 

Salary Range:  $95,000-$143,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits such as:
