As a Real Estate Manager for Eastern Canada, you’ll play a key, single-contributor role in expanding the network that keeps millions of Canadians connected. You’ll identify, negotiate, and secure the strategic locations that power tomorrow’s digital infrastructure. Your ability to balance business objectives with stakeholder collaboration will be key to expanding our network. You’ll work closely with landowners, municipalities, and cross-functional teams to align priorities, overcome obstacles, and ensure that every new site reflects our mission.
Description
What you’ll do
- Site Acquisition Leadership: Lead real estate acquisition initiatives for wireless network infrastructure across Eastern Canada. Negotiate favorable lease and license agreements while fostering long-term, positive relationships with property owners
- Regulatory and Municipal Relations: Work closely with municipal authorities and government agencies to secure permits, approvals, and concurrence required for infrastructure development
- Vendor Management: Guide and support external site acquisition vendors in identifying, evaluating, and securing optimal locations that align with carrier requirements and regulatory standards
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, from site identification through lease execution, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
- Market Analysis & Strategy: Monitor local market conditions, carrier expansion plans, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities for both new builds and existing assets
- Stakeholder Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, carriers, property owners, and internal teams to support smooth execution and high tenant satisfaction
- Revenue Optimization: Drive revenue growth by maximizing asset utilization through strategic tenant placement, lease renewals, and identification of new colocation opportunities
- Reporting & Performance Tracking: Provide leadership with clear project updates while maintaining detailed project documentation
Qualifications
What you bring
- Bilingual fluency in French and English, with exceptional communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders and successfully close negotiations
- Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, business, real estate, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and 7+ years of relevant site acquisition and leasing experience
- Recognized for a strong understanding of commercial leasing, real estate, municipal land-use, and federal government requirements critical to the operation and expansion of telecommunications infrastructure
- Understanding of Canadian municipal processes, telecommunications industry standards, and property leasing practices
- Experienced in communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders, including federal, provincial, and municipal authorities, First Nations, railways, utility companies, commercial and industrial business owners, condominium corporations, and residential property owners regarding land access, rights-of-way, and leasing
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret legal documents (leases, licenses, rights-of-way agreements, etc.) and to understand construction drawings, including surveys and engineering designs
- Flexible and adaptable in responding to evolving carrier requirements, regulatory changes, and market dynamics in the wireless infrastructure sector
- Startup mindset with proven ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and pivot quickly in a fast-paced, evolving organization
- Valued for attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and reliability in project execution
- Ability to travel across Eastern Canada as required

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.) as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
