The Corporate Investigations Team is one of the most compelling and interesting functions at TELUS. We are dedicated to ensuring the security of our team members, customers, and assets, employing the latest investigative techniques and methods to maintain a best-in-class operation. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating complex, high-impact cases that protect TELUS against a wide scope of threats and breaches. Success requires active collaboration with core business units to deliver positive outcomes for both our people and our brand
What you'll do
- Conduct various complex internal and external investigations
- Work with outside agencies such as Law Enforcement, Courts and Legal to bring cases to resolution
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders including People & Culture, Labor Relations, Legal Services and other TELUS Security Teams
- Produce summary investigation reports for distribution to TELUS leaders
- Query and analyze various electronic data sources for case evidence
- Thoroughly build and document cases to support findings and resolutions
- Provide security recommendations and participate in projects for proactive measures
- Evaluate cases for patterns and trends to identify failures in policies, procedures, and/or internal controls
- Provide urgent response for threats toward TELUS assets and personnel
- Lead and conduct investigative interviews
What you bring
- At least 7 years of experience in an investigative position
- Proficient computer skills, computer application and database query language
- Strong report writing, communications and interviewing skills
- Familiarity with the Criminal and Civil Justice System
- Knowledge of diversity and cultural issues
- Ability to respond to urgent incidents outside regular business hours
- Ability to obtain a Private Investigator License
- Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Security Clearance
Great-to-haves
- Experience as a court or arbitration witness
- Working knowledge of the Telecommunications or Tech industry
- Familiarity with Digital Forensic concepts, Fraud and Technical investigations
Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
